Jake Wegmann joined the University of Texas planning faculty in 2014 after completing his PhD at Berkeley, under the guidance of Dr. Karen Chapple. His areas of research include land use regulation, housing affordability, and housing production. Before academia, he worked in real estate development in Denver and San Francisco. He grew up in Edmonton and holds dual US-Canada citizenship. He is nearing completion of a book titled Come On In: The Wide Open Future of Single-Family Neighborhoods in the US and Canada. Jake lives in Austin with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, he’d rather be outdoors.
