Priya Perwani is an architect, urbanist, and researcher interested in all things that move between people and place. Working across housing research, community engagement, and design education, she explores how cities are shaped by the spatial, social, and political relationships that connect us. At the School of Cities, she supports research and programs focused on housing, social infrastructure, and urban change.
Trained in architecture and urban ecology, Priya’s work brings together design and research. Her professional experience spans academic, community, and practice-based settings, reflecting a belief that the most meaningful work happens across disciplines and sectors. She is continually drawn to new tools, ideas, and methods that expand her understanding of cities and the people who inhabit them.
Outside of work, you’ll often find Priya rediscovering cities through familiar streets, shared meals, and everyday encounters.
