Shauna Brail, Associate Professor at the Institute for Management & Innovation, University of Toronto Mississauga, has published an article in Current History looking at the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on planning policy. Using the City of Toronto has a case study, she highlights the uneven, inequitable distribution of viral transmission, job loss and precarity, and the subsequent unevenness of recovery. Professor Brail has also been active publishing data visualizations on the impact of the pandemic through her interdisciplinary project Toronto After the First Wave.
