1. All individuals participating in the competition must be enrolled for the duration of the competition as students at the University of Toronto either full-time or part-time. 
  2. The competition is open to both undergraduate and graduate University of Toronto students.  
  3. Students must participate in teams of 2 – 6 members.  
  4. Team members must be responsible for the majority of the work and resources put into the creation of the app. Teams may, however, use third-party frameworks, provided they have acquired appropriate licenses to use them. 
  5. Teams may submit only one final product for the competition, though alternative versions may be accepted for different operating systems. 
  6. The proposed idea must be original and not replicate other existing mobile applications or digital products.  
  7. All code used to develop official competition entries must be submitted for review. Judges will examine your code as part of the evaluation. Teams retain all rights to their app and code. 
  8. Contestants maintain full intellectual property for their submissions. The University of Toronto will not have any claim on the intellectual property of their submissions. 
  9. Evaluation committee members agree not to disclose any non-public, confidential or proprietary information submitted as part of the competition. 
  10. Any team found using plagiarized material will be disqualified from the competition. All sources of material must be properly cited in accordance with University of Toronto Policy. 
  11. The University of Toronto retains the right to disqualify teams for other discreditable conduct (ex. The use of offensive or obscene imagery). 
  12. The University of Toronto reserves the right to not award prizes if submissions are not of sufficient quality. 
  13. The University of Toronto reserves the right to change and/or otherwise alter these rules at any time and for any reason. 
  14. All prizes will be distributed equally between team members.
